I have an 8n with a house bushhog and broke the link on the chain that supports the deck and keeps it from scalping the grass. Im looking for the part/kit (set of chains) to replace these. Im having difficulty searching for this. Is there a special name for these chains.

Why not get a quick link and just replace the broken one?

drill a hole in the curl of the link through the flat metal that the link is welded to and use a quick link

Here is the way my PO had done it. Works pretty good. It's just an
old chain hook welded on. Chain 'Y"s into two farther down and is
attached to each lifting arm.

I would probably grind that link off and weld a new chain on if you want an
original look. I don't believe there is anything special about those chains.
Meaning any regular chain of that size would work.
