I have a 782 CC with a series 1 KT 17 engine that develops a miss when gets up to temp. Runs fine but has a miss. Any Ideas? Thanks

I was wonderng if it is electrical, coil, condenser. I suppose coil is pricey for that tractor.

Where to get a coil at resonable price. Parts tree 221.95, not! Any suggestions? Thanks

Close gaps on spark plugs a little to see if that helps. Double check points also.

Check E-bay for coils, many companys used the KT-17, including John Deere, Wheelhorse and others.

I have a complete kt 17 series motor for sale. It ran but smoked. $75.00 dollars complete. Located in nw ohio. if that helps you.

Which type of ignition does this engine use?
If a magneto I don't have any ideas.
If batt/external coil I have a thought. NAPA IC14SB is a genuine 12 volt, no external resister coil. Costs 15-20 bucks. Have been using this on my JD 112 with K 241 for about 10 years now.

They HAVE been known to have valve seats come loose in the block.

Your problem is more likley coil and plug wires.
You can use a Harley Davidson coil at a lower cost.
