First off happy fathers day to everyone. I have been looking
around on CL for a finish mower for my 52 8n. Found a
possibility on CL of a Kioti brand 84" looks decent by pics.
Person says it was to heavy for tractor which would be my
concern with an 84" cut if it could handle or if the 3point could
raise ok. A google search says a 2013 model is about 728 lbs.
Too heavy or too big of a cut for tractor to mow/handle?
thanks

I would be more concerned with the gearbox horse power rating.I think the 8N won't handle it.

It"s both too heavy and too wide for an 8N in anything but ABSOLUTELY IDEAL conditions.

My "47 8N can lift (Cool 24" x 30" patio blocks plus wooden pallett (a bit over 800lbs) on my 3 pt. hand crafted fork lift & I have to stand up & lean over the hood to keep the front wheels touching occasionally. Not comfortable at all. Removing (1) block makes it manageable but the front end is still very light

That mower is really big for an 8N. Asking for frustration I think.

Dell I have a 800lb chipper I run with an 8n and the front end is pretty light it is pretty hard to start out without popping wheelies though once you get moving it is ok kinda like powersteering.

My 8N handles a 750 pound 72" Woods finish mower just fine even in heavy thick turf. If the terrain is flat and you are maintaining turf grass kept at a normal "lawn" height the 84" should be OK. My guess is you won't have a lot of success "bush hogging" tall pasture grass with it....

I run an 84" sitrex with my NAA and have no problems in my yard. You won"t cut tall grass with out bogging down, but cut half the width of the mower. Normal weekly grass growth is no issue even after a good rain.
