I have an Allis D15 Series II with a Zenith carb and I'm trying to find a rebuild kit but the carb has precious few identifying marks on it. The only thing I can find on the casting is Zenith, Made in the USA, and B8. Any ideas on what type of carb this is and where I can get a rebuild kit? Thanks.

I use a catalog I have as a reference for this type of thing and all it lists for a D-15 with a Zenith carb is the 14991 so good chance that is what you have. Open the carb up or take it with you to a place like O'Reilly's auto parts and they can use it to match up the gaskets etc

If your lucky and live near old or have one of the rare ones like the ones near him, your auto parts store might help you. If your in the rest of the country, only go to the auto parts store if you want the person be hind the counter to stare at you with glazed eyes, as if you have horns or somthing.
Besides, it will probably be cheaper to get mailed from a company like our host any how. Problem with our host is they dont list a zenith D15 kit, so you may have to poke around intill you find a kit for the Zenith number that old posted.

Taken me years to teach the auto parts guys in my area to know what to look for in tractor parts and simple parts like carb kits are easy to get but try for some of the other stuff like gaskets etc I have to go to this site or other such places

Wow. I wouldn't have ever even thought to go to an auto parts store. They can match it up? Those guys tend to get a little cranky if you can't list a car year, make, and model. I was expecting this was an online purchase.

A whole lot depends on the auto arts store. My local O'Reilly's is pretty good but I have been dealing with them for 30 plus years and have trained many to duck and cover when I walk in
