a lot depends on your location and your definition of "restored". a pic would help.

I am in western Missouri. I am trying to decide if it would be worth fixing/restoring my To30 or if I am just going to be in the hole with this tractor and part it out or scrap it.

"Scrapping it" is blasphemy !!!
Parting it is much better.

If you are talking $2,400 for a repaired and running TO30 - but not restored, painted etc - I'm sure that will be above market value.

But surely you have work for the tractor to justify/mitigate the cost of repair?

I have a fully reconditioned, restored, repainted TEA20 that probably owes me over $5,000 - I don't count the cost - but it is still only a $2,500 to $3,000 tractor if I sold it.

Yes I do have work for the tractor to do. And hopefully by the time this repair is done it would be awhile before I had to put anymore major repair into it. Thus knowing I have a good tractor to use.
