S.G.... Did you notice the reply by "Wilburton"?

"In all the 6v to 12v conversions I"ve seen, and done, the only thing needed is a voltage reducer for the spark plugs."

Yep, that"ll help!

Lest someone be offended, rest assured I am laughing WITH them, not AT THEM. For those of us that work with this stuff day in and day out, sometimes it is almost UNFATHOMABLE the ignorance some folks who have a "REAL" life have of basic electricity and ignition systems!

And, likewise, some of those folks would find my ignorance of things they take for granted in their everyday jobs UNFATHOMABLE!

You have that right. We all have in depth knowledge of different things.
Being able to share that knowledge and find answers to our
questions is what makes the forums so great.

i remember a guy posting here talking about restoring and converting a tractor to 12v, and he had done some old truck.. and his buddy had done most of the electrics obviously. he mentioned just putting a 'black box' under the hood to take care of all the voltage conversions.

:)
