It was pretty dang easy. The big nuts were barely tight, which worried me as I thought the bearing would be damaged. But it was all good.

I broke the nut that is supposed to be 600 ft lbs loose with a 2 foot bar. The hub needed a pull from a T bar puller, I threaded 3/8" bolts in the holes that held the brake drum on.

The cork seal was missing and the seal was not square in the flanged carrier. I bought the complete seal and carrier from Steiner and used the cork gasket under it after cleaning about three tubes worth of black RTV out. Put in the same number of shim gaskets as I took out.

Wish I had used a torch to burn the oil out of the shoes, cleaned them in diesel and brake clean but that brake does not grab as well as the left. But at least we have brakes now!
