My 1944 ZTU started missing after I had used it a while. First off ond on, then more frequently to the point of having no spark at all. I put new plugs and wires on it less than 2 months ago.
Anyone have an idea what might be wrong? I suspect the magneto. Thanks

Did you use solid core plug wires? Usually clean and regap points will help.

When I tried tonight it started and ran ok. Now there is no spark again. The points are burnt a little but the cap and rotor are in bad shape. Yes I can here clicking when the motor turns over.

Is your grounding wire for shutoff shorting? Next step is condensor.

I'm going to order parts tomorrow including the condenser. I'll check the ground.

Thanks
