Will the larger 30MT diesel starter work on a gas with a 10MT starter?

If not does anyone know where i can get a starter for 930 case gas?

My starter has been rebuilt one time to many.

Don't know about the similarity, but when the starter went bad on my 700, I pulled the starter from my 900 6 speed and it is working great on the 700.

My 930 gas is an 8 speed with a 377.

I have heard of people swapping starters thats why im asking if they will interchange.

Most listings for the 930 gas is listed only for 930 gas

I bought a new one from local parts store for about $60 for my 930 LP. Figured I couldn't fix the old one for that amount.

WOW! $60

Ive checked my local NAPA dealer and the best they can do for my starter is $300 plus core.

Everyone else is around $270 plus core plus shipping.

My starters has been rebuilt several times since it was new and it heats bad like a short in the winding.

I wonder is the 930LP starter something different.

My starter number is A57092 and the delco number #1108340

Lp and gas should be the same. I looked , but the tag is gone off the starter. Can call dealer in the am if you want. Sounds like they are giving diesel starter prices.
