I was at an auction today where they sold a Stevens model 311A side by side double barrel 410. I figured it to bring $500-$600. Was shocked when it sold for $950

Yep depending on where you are they can go out the roof. By the way another reason for you to come see me I know where you can buy a few guns for a good price depending on what type you want and like

It did go high. If it was in excellent condition it should bring around $800.00. There are several on two differant gun trader sites for $775.00 and others in average condition $425.00 _ $595.00. Somebody wanted it real bad.

Found out today that 2 family members wanted it. Old saying, you can't out bid family at an auction

I have seen that at sales before. I went to a sale years ago and it was a friend of the family that had died be longings. I found a family picture there of great grandparents and their children ( my grandfather and all his brothers and sisters). I had to bit it up high and got it. The person that was bidding against me came and talked to me after sale and said if he knew it was my family in picture he would have not bid all he wanted was the old picture frame.

I don"t even bother biding on guns at auction sales any more. They all go way too high. The last time I bid on a gun that retailed for under $3000, most gun stores listed it for $2750 brought $4200 at the auction.
