Oliver 88 gas tank

I was wondering if the fuel tanks where the same from 88 gas to 88 diesel. I have got a 88 gas that has rust in the tank.

The diesel tank has the return line fitting at the upper front of the tank. That's the only difference I think.

Oliver made a different tank for the diesel with a well in the bottom. It had a spigot to drain water and no one usually did this. The well would rust and would leak. I had a tank repaired where we just had that well removed and the sediment bowl soldered to that spot.

No rust. Good shape from a running tractor.
