After watching the gorgeous moonrise this evening,I got to thinking about all the marvels I've seen from the tractor seat.Shooting stars,stars,sunrises.....But I think the most spectacular was back when the Hale-Bob comet and a lunar eclipse happened .I watched the whole event one night while plowing.Going one direction see the comet.Turn around and go the other way,see the eclipse.Took about 2 hours for the moon to get covered and uncovered.Never forget that.I guess its one of those 'perks' that happens when you live outside of the city lights. We are fortunate.....

I planted soybeans a few years ago with an amazing lightning storm right over my head with a tractor with no cab. I ducked a couple times when it seemed to close, never did get any rain out of the storm. It was something to see though.

I remember that night very well. One of wife's mares foaled, and we named it Haley.
