have a 44 with a badly siezed throttle cable, how you remove the slip end that attaches from the goverener. the spiral cable goes into, tried to spin off, no luck. hoping to use a universal choke cable to replace the exisiting throttle cable. (wrappped steel around wire) any help would be great

The early 44 I had the cable was stuck at the bend under the fuel tank. Kept soaking it and finally got it to move, but it took time.

Nope, it"s a regular 44 row crop. 48-49. Has the wound cable that feeds through the tube and down to governor. There is a piece that attaches the throttle to the governor. The cable is badly seized and kinked where cable inserts the tube under fuel tank

I do not know, mine is a late model with throttle rod.
