Does anyone have a pic of what the battery box looks like for a UTU LP? The parts book was no help. Thanks

This is a picture of Dad on his utu in 1951. Shows battery box on left side behind inspection plate to grease throwout bearing. I hope this may help you.

Well that is a battery box.

But I am thinking the factory tray was a plate with turned up lips on 2 sides and used the same end clamps as when the battery was under the gasoline tank.

I got one from Wendell Everett (740-922-3335) so I could use a regular car battery on my '49 UTS.
