Curious how many of you collect toy tractors? I "farmed" every day after school and all summer long with my toy farm equipment. Fashioned some home made stuff too, most of which got broken and thrown out. Used to cut off Ertl axles and make new with threaded rod and nylock nuts so I could put duals and "plow duals" on them as well.

Here"re pics of what I have today. Most prized items are a couple of signed items from Fred Ertl Jr"s private collection from his first auction in 2002. Have a little bit of all colors, mostly because they are similar or same as what I played with as a child or due to having JD and Oliver/White dealers close to me when I started collected again as an adult Wink

Nice collection. I collect Farm Toys mainly 1:64 toys cause they don't take up as much room, but I have been getting a bunch more 1:16th scale toys recently. Mainly collecting J.I. Case toys in 1:16th but have all brands in 1:64th. I have a mix of older toys from the 70's up through current day production of Ertl and Spec Cast, I have a few custom toys always looking for more of those. Favorite Toy I own are the Millennium Case Steam Engine with both variations of the canopy (green and red, the Custom Case Water Wagon to go behind the Engine, and The Pauley Custom Case Threshing Machine.

I have collected toys for the last 30+ years. I mostly collected 1/64th scale at first, but have started collecting more 1/16th scale. I collect whatever I like, but seem to be heavy with JD. I have collected most models of tractors that I have owned or driven. Currently have 1500+ toy tractors and implements.

I use to till they came out with a million different models, couldn't afford it anymore. Kinda used them as an investment, but not so good anymore. Sold out but kept a few custom models I had made that were never produced. Mainly just of tractors I owned and used.

In addition to my "big" toys, I've been collecting farm toys for about 20-some years now. Bought a lot of them at farm and toy auctions, and the implement dealers. Collect mostly IH, but do have some Ford, JD, MF and some Tru-Scale. My last count was around 275 toys.

Have about 36 feet worth,on shelves, in my closet so the kids couldn't get at them when they were little.I also have a few Tru Scale and Ertl trucks.I have downsized over the years.

My youngest son has quite a few that we buy at shows if the price is right.

I have 350 + 1/16 scale, all brands, but, as many Case as I could get. I and a friend just put them back in there boxes as I had them all displayed. There is a large Toy store in Des Moines, Iowa, that has agreed to buy my collection and we have agreed upon a price. I am going to keep my Case ones. I still have the plastic SC model that the local Case Dealer gave me when my father bought a new DC in 1952. It is still like new. Not worth that much, but lot of memories for me. I played with my John Deere's, they were made of pot medal and would last a little longer. Must have pushed them many miles and repeated the words "put-put" a couple thousand times. ah, memories! They are all gone, but I still have the little plastic Case. Life is good.

Like the pic of the SC with the vacuum hookup to milk cows. Dad had a petcock on the DC to milk when the power went out. We've got a all painted up DC from a neighbor with a small cutout in the hood to get at the intake manifold outlet to milk cows.

Have a few maybe 15-20 all Case. Do have a original 1070 BK that I bought new, threw the box away of course but that is what a 16 year old does and remember collecting toys was uncommon in 1971. Pic is the grandson with gramps 1/8 730, Rod.
