I have 6 new in box pistons with p/n 4396648 on box. Instruction sheet says eng mod 16 - 25000. Have had for several years and have wondered what they fit. If have value or scrap.

I think the 25000 is the engine type/model but it's way too new for me know anything about.

If they are 5.25 in dia, they are for a 6 cyl 844 ci engine which existed in several forms from 16000 to 25000 series used in HD16 and larger vehicles.

I"d call an equipment service shop and see if they can place the part number - newer part number system may have added digits in front of your number - maybe starting with 7 plus your number.

In good condition they should be saleable - either on some of the construction equipment sites or on eBay.

I agree with Ed.. The 25000 was an 844 inch AC engine back in the 1960-1985 era. Construction used a lot of them in 945 wheel loaders, 260 size scrapers, etc. The 21000 series was turbo unit (HD 16- 21), the 25000 was turbo and aftercooler... probably 375 HP.. Those should be high quality pistons if made for the 25000.... BIG straight 6.

Add a 7 in front and then search 74396648 maybe with Allis or Fiat-Allis in front. Should still be a lot of those machines out there that use these.
