I'm getting ready to add a hydraulic accessory plate to my ford 861. I have the accessory block, but I do not have the O-rings to go with it. The drawing shows the following

(5) NAA 937 E
(1) NAA 937 D
(1) NCA 834 A
(1) NCA 917 A

Does anyone know if there are some easy to get hardware store equivalents? If so, what # or diameter?

Thanks!

Steve

Take the plate with you to a good hardware store and find the ones that fit. Nothing magical about O-rings.

those orings come in a top cover kit or you can get them in a seperate kit.

I HAVE hit up my universal kit and replaced orings under a option cover i took off before as I was in a pinch and could not run to the dealer. the only hitch is repalce all of them. don't repalce one new fat one and leave 7 old hard smashed ones under there or you will be taking it off to repalce the other 6.

ps. a lil gun grease holds them in place just fine..

Do I need a gasket? The manual doesn't show one, but the top end kits that I'm finding have one....???

Thanks.

That's a pretty naive statement.

I just went through CNH for the O-rings. They aren't that expensive at all and it beats running around locally trying to save a dollar or two. They will also be dimensionally correct. I think I got all of them for about $7 give or take.

ID and OD might be easy to find, but the diameter of the material is another story.

I have used the flat rings to put a selector valve on my 2000. duckkilla said he needed O-rings.

Yrs ago , when I removed the blank accessory cover on my 640 to install a remote for me front bulldozer blade , I tried using O rings from an auto parts store . I had leaks everywhere . So someone suggested going to my local Ford tractor dealer (before Ford gave in to a name change) & buy the specified hydraulic remote cover O ring kit . After that I had no leaks .God bless , Ken

Some of the diameters are a little odd. I found most of them online (McMaster Carr) but you're required to buy WAY more than you need and thus more expensive. This is one of those CNH is easier and faster endeavours.
