Dad has a real nice 303 baler. I have a #44 thrower and was told it'll fit on there. Is it a bolt on modification or is there more to it? Seems a operators manual isn't as easy to come by as I thought! Anybody got any pictures of a 303 with a thrower?

I was able to get my operator manual at the local dealer, fortunately they were AC before AGCO bought them. You might try there.

Occasionally on Ebay you can find owners manuals for equipment. I did for some JD stuff. I do have a 303 manual, but know nothing about a thrower.

I was looking on agcopartsbooks.com and it appears it should work. The main body and rear chamber look to be the same on the 303 and 444 balers. Here's the link, maybe the parts explosions will help.

Thanks for the help guys! Does anybody have any pictures of a #44 thrower on a 303 or 444 baler? Tried google but it's not much help, looking for closer up pictures than field shots from a distance.

You might try going to the other AC forum and checking there. There was at least one person that had a 303 with a thrower who posted some photos. I had wondered about doing something similar myself but finding the thrower and the money has been on the low end of my priorities right now.

I had a 303 with a 44 thrower. That's the way it came new. I used it on 40 acres of hey for several years but it was pretty worn out. I didn't think it was very well built. I have a video somewhere but I will have to look for pictures.

See, my hired man its unreliable. Dad is getting too old to stack wagons and his vision keeps him from driving the tractor. Dad does have a 303 that is a hay eating machine and is very reliable.

Sorry, I meant that the thrower was worn out. You had to make the bales light or it couldn't get them into the wagon. The baler worked very well
