I have a 1947 RTU that is 6 volt. I found a 12 volt battery that fits nicely under the gas tank. I"m tired of the 6 volt. Do I just have change the regulator to 12 volt? Or do I have to change more? Thanks Jeff

You'll have to change the generator and regulator, OR go to an alternator. If you are going to use the six volt coil, add a resister.

You will also have to change the bulbs in the lights.

You do not have to change the generator. Just Reg and coil (or use a resister) and bulbs.
