I have an Oliver 88 standard that steers pretty hard, it is getting better the more I used the tractor and grease it. However, I've seen some Char
Lynn power steering units for sale and I'm wondering if anyone ever has used a 12volt electric power steer pump to power a Char Lynn steering
motor on the older olivers? I'm also not sure if Char Lynn had a pump with a pulley that could bolt onto tractor rather than the generator
mounted ones I've seen. Any information would be much appreciated, thank you.

Yes Char Lynn had a pump for the power steering. Set up right they work good. Questions? My e-mail should be open.

I have found that the standards with 18 inch wheels turn pretty easy, if it is getting easier as you use it the steering box could have very hardend grease in it, you could clean it out and put in new grease. there is also an eccentric in the steering box that adjusts the steering gear closer or further from the worm gear, if the keeper on this has come loose it will bind the two gears together. If the keeper is missing it will usually steer easier in one direction than the other. and yes you can add a power steering pump for a charlynn steering motor, older chrysler ones will work, you need to make sure that it turns fast enough to have the volume needed by the steering motor.

I have also read about adding electric power steering from a GM car but have not done or seen it.

Took some pics. Mine looks to be a homemade job. Pretty hard to see it but it mounts to the 4 bolts on the water neck. Also someone put a alternator on. It has a remote hydraulic tank under the hood. Might give you some ideas anyway

When it gets alittle warmer I'll look at the steering box if I recall I think it steered easier to the right than than the left. Something might need work in it, since I still use it on the farm probably put power steering on it too.
