Used to have one here that my FIL shared with a neighbor. I gave it to him after Dad passed away and ha's gone now, too. I could never weld with it. Why do you want one? His place is still in the family and it may still be there.

Is this what it looks like?

If so, my dad had one like it. Brings back some memories!

First welder I ever tried to use, and I could never get it to weld either. But then I was about 10, I think. And the rods were probably just as old! But I don't recall anyone else getting it to weld either, so I never really tried. Dad didn't want me messing with it as it was his battery charger, that is mainly what it was used for.

I remember it had several attachments, one was some kind of "carbon arc" something, never tried to make it work, but it had 2 carbon rods that angled toward each other?

Dad had one just like that, used it for years on the farm. Had the carbon arc torch set too, used it a lot before we ever had the oxy torch set.

I have 3 of the old Forney farm welders. I bought 2 of them that would not weld properly. All it took to repair the was to replace the capacitor in them. A $25 fix.
