Oh just go out and buy her a new car of her choice, if she drives it for five or seven years , go get her another. How many more could you get? 3 , 4 ?

I understand what you are saying, there was no affection shown in our house, you never got a compliment and never heard anything unless you made a mistake, then you heard about it.

When my wife totaled her car 3 years ago I never said a negative thing about it and when the car was totaled due to a bad frame we just replaced it with a new one. Old forget fixing that piece of junk and get your wife a decent modern car.

Im not trying to insult you Old,,But heres something to consider,,you have stated your wife is a bad driver,The GEO tracker is known for rolling over easily,,think about that before you patch it up for her.Is it a hard top model or the soft top convertible type?

Old, question on tracker. I had a 96 and was told that the 96 was the last one to carry the Geo name and for 97 they were badged as Chevy Tracker. So do you know if they actually made any Geo in 97 or is it a 96? I think at one time you mentioned you had a 96. Mine was the 4 door hard topwagon version and worst vehical I ever owned. Had to keep one fot on gas pedal with other on brake to keep running, no heater and power windows quit that I needed as I drove it part time on a rural newspaper route. Took a big lose in getting rid of it in less than a year. Liked it if it would have amounted to anything.

I admire your attitude Larry. I want to try to be more like you in these matters. I've pretty much given up on having "nice stuff" if the wife is going to touch it, and she's never getting another car with a clutch but I have to learn to look on the bright side and be more grateful for what we do have. You're an inspiration,

bob

I had a 97 Geo Tracker. The 5 door wagon with the 16V engine. manual windows. One froze in the down position somehow. We had taken it on a two day deer hunt when the warmest it got was 13 below zero, That 120 mile drive home was brutal.

What we have is a 1997. They call it both a Chevy and a Geo Tracker. I never buy things with things like power windows. AC yes but even then that can be a problem.
