Will a Perkins 4.236, 4.248, or 4.318 bolt up in a Super 90 (I heard the 4.318 will). |

A4.318, yes. Will bolt right in but may need front oil pan horizontal hardware changed to studs/nuts, depends what pan is used. 236-248 will not fit as rear flange is nothing like the A4.300 and 318. |

Super 90 engines bolt directly to the bell housing, no adapter plate. |

Rear block flange of the 300/318 is different from the 236/248 bolt pattern. Super 90 and 285-1085 transmissions clutch housing have two 5/8 NC bolts in the bottom, other smaller MF transmissions never used them. |

No adapter plate on 236/248 blocks either. Adapter plates were used on Perkins 152 three cylinder, 192, 203 four cylinder, 305, 354, and 372 six cylinder blocks used in MF applications. |

Is the 236/248 bolt pattern exactly the same other than not having the two 5/8 NC bolts in the bottom. |

None are the same. 85-88-S90 use a slightly larger "bell" housing. |

A Super 90 is a hulk compared to a 175/180. |
