Dell was one of the first here that I followed closely when I discovered this site.

He has been thanked and praised, and I add to that.

Additionally, thanks and praise for looking after him so we could have him so long and so well. As Wendell Berry says, it's not a tragedy when a man dies at the end of his life. Thank you for letting us know.

I never met Dell in person, but felt like he was a friend. Always enjoyed and got a chuckle from his humorous style of posting.

Some of my favorite 'Dell quotes:'

Quote:
Set the down-pointing MAINJET to 2-turns and LEAVITT!!!

UNDERSTAND???

I say its yer tractor, paint it enny color that pleases you.

Would it surprize you to learn that [fill in the blank]…

Simple, eh?

I just love it when posters (you) include enuff info so I don't haffta demonstrate my amazing powers of mind-reading 'cuz I done flunked mind reading, just ask my ex-wife of 32-yrs. (grin)

Dell, yer self-appointed sparkie-meister

That makes me sad. He's the first one who helped me with my 9N here and his wit was what got me to stay. I'll miss his sage and sassy advice.

Dell was a good old boy!
Once when his frankness rubbed someone the wrong way, they called him a curmudgion and I replied that I would be proud if they called me that.

When he was having computer troubles and couldnt get on yt, I contacted them on his behalf and we had a few snail mail exchanges where he sent me some of his prized anastizi (?) beans with his recepe to cook with ham hock. Wife did and. we both enjoyed. Rest in peace my man, it was a good run.
