1 pm yesterday, the serpitine belt broke on the camper and the engine temperatures rose. Not much room to pull off the road.

Called roadside assistance for help. Wreckers show up at 2 am. Driver says it'll cost you a fortune if I tow you. You best bet is to get it fixed here on side of road and he gave me a business to call.

Called business at 8 am this morning. They can't get belt until morning. Ihey said 'just stay camped there on edge of road.'

So here we sit watching California Quail walk amongst the sagebrush.. lol

Just now, barely picked up enough of a signal to send this message.

Still in Wasington State near Ephrata.

At least you have the quail to watch!!!Lol. Breaking down on the road sucks. Good luck and good travels.

And I bet if you had a spare you could put it on yourself. Or is this one of those road monsters that require a diesel truck mechanic? Watch the pretty birds. Hang in there.

Imagine the fix you might be in if the CBP had allowed you into Canada??

Looks like you need to be a contortionist. lol Engine and radiator are in rear, under the rear bedroom.

Well, in Canada, you could have gone to any farmer and they would have you back on
the road in under an hour with some baler twine and a pair of vise grips...!
