RE: 1926 Whippet tractor. Original price on posted ad was $1000. After negotiating per e-mail and phone calls, arrangement was made to purchase and $200 downpayment was sent to father (owner of tractor), Stan Markey. Upon arrival today, price was stated as $10,000. What gives?! BUYER BEWARE! |

Sure doesn't sound like a pretty good deal, then. |

Russ, this Overland Whippet tractor was not made from a car. It was made by the people who made the car but is not completely original. Motor and transmission are original, however. Drive shaft was shortened and modified to make a chain drive. Owner's son provided this info. Tractor has been repainted. Wouldn't make the drive from MO to OH again unless I had written contract... |

Tom,
I just ran across this my wife was doing internet search of my name for fun and told me about the post. Did you go home and look at the ad close again? I thought I showed you when you were here what the posted price was. Anyhow, I never asked for more than 200 down b/c I was trying to be flexible for you but at the time I thought it was a strange number. I apoligize again for the misunderstanding.
