Unless you just want to hear the turbine whistle I would not go for a turbocharger on a 3020. You will see very minimal improvement in power. You also run a risk of blowing the thing up... Those blocks are like hens teeth. If you want more power you may look into a 4020. They make nealy a hundred horses and share common engineering with your 3020.

The only Deere tractor I can think of that ever deserved a tubocharger was the 5020. It needed one in the worst way. For the most part the 3020 does not have the engine to withstand added power and the 4020 offers enough power to spin the tires even when ballasted. Why would you want more?

Just some thoughts. If you want to do the conversion for fun/conversation then go for it. If you plan to work the tractor you may want to consider other options.

Took one off cust. tractor we are overhauling, told him I'd "pedal it" for him. Just a loader tractor, I couldn't see it doing any good. Tractor also had oil bath air cleaner, which I didn't think should be used on turbo eng.

Forgive me for getting off on my high horse about turbochargers. I got a little off the question, giving advise for which you didnt ask.

By all means give her a whirl on selling it. Someone will want it for play. I have to admit regardless of functionality it would be a neat addition for conversation purposes.
