Why does it need to be so long?
Where'd you read that you needed a special PTO shaft? Maybe for a particular snowblower that used a shaft designed specifically for that blower, but not as a general rule.
You need a shaft that:
1. Is long enough.
2. Is rated for at least as much HP as the snowblower is designed to be used with.
3. Has the proper ends to fit the shaft on the blower and the shaft on the tractor.
4. Has a slip clutch, if your existing shaft has a slip clutch installed already.
Your best shot at getting the right combination of parts is to go to an equipment dealer that has an assortment of PTO shaft components that can be assembled into whatever shaft is desired. They may even be able to re-use your existing front and rear yokes, which will save you money especially if the rear yoke has a slip clutch built in. |
