They were both made in 1952. They did make two differant Seat Forward models. Type #1 the hitch was not reinforced. Type #2 the hitch was reinforced,& it had differant pedals & wheel caps than Type #1. Gerald |

Gerald,
Thanks for the information.
Do you think they made the seat "forward" version first.....then found that the hitch was weak and built the seat "forward reinforced hitch" second..... and then the seat "rear postion" third?
Thanks, Rich |

That is possible but it is hard to say for sure. It makes sense that it could have happened that way. That was two years before I was born. They also show a spring as a option. It went in between the seat & the seat bracket. Do you have any CASE pedals for sale. Gerald |

I have one of those kids JD tractors like the one in the photos. I found it sitting out with a bag of garbage in its seat, just waiting for the G-man to get it in the morning. The pedal assembly had fallen out because the bolts broke. I put it back together and it looks nice.
My Grand-kids are just old enough this year to ride it. I hate to put it out though, because some cretin will make off with it.
What are they worth to sell? Please e-mail me with approximate worth. |
