Can anyone tell me the going price for a John Deere model 520 Ertl Pedal tractor? My Grandson is now 17 and drives the big ones. It is in good shape, all there nothing broken, good paint, tires good but worn. Thanks for any help--

My Criswell pedal tractor guide doesn't show a 520. They show a 620 made in 1956 & 57. In the book it is valued at $800 for good one. I don't know the JD market real well as I collect Case. If you aren't in a hurry to sell it watch Ebay & that will tell you the market. Gerald

The Model 520 is a later tractor that represents anything from a 4430 type to a 4955 type. The 520 is a model number cast into the right side of the rear casting. NOt related to the 520 you are referring to.

The 520 I was refering to was right under the ERTL name. It does not resemble a real Model 520 tractor. Is there any listing for value?
Thanks

There are at least three versions of the 520 casting, representing the "30" series (early '70s), the "40" series (early '80s) and the "50" series (late '80s/early '90s). The castings are very similar, but the stripe on the hood is different in each case.

Some prices from Dick's Farm Toy Price Guide: "Good" means restorable, no casting breaks, "Excellent" means either almost brand new or restored.

All three versions are listed at $125 +/- for Good and $150 to $175 for Excellent.

I have scanned a couple of pages from a farm toy collector guide and can e-mail them to you. My e-mail is open, so if you want them, drop me a line and I'll send them to you.

Just curious.

Stan, do you still have those pages scanned on the JD 4430? I'd love to get a copy of those pages. I'm in the middle of restoring my 4430. Thanks.

Daniel
