What does the BMC stand for? I have heard Botnick Motor co and Binghamton Motor co. Any help?

In 1952 the British Motor Corporation (BMC), was formed by the merger of the Austin Motor
Company and the Nuffield Organization. They built Nuffield and Later Leyland tractors in England
