Does anyone have a current recommendation for a new starter for my super major 5000 diesel? I read SOME of previous posts and I"m still confused. Have found some new starter prices that range from $125 ( I think for 3cyl) up to well over $400 (plus $100 core chg) for the the old style lever actuated. I also just received Email from a source that has a GOOD original Lucas(Prince of Darkness) starter for $350 plus shipping.. Any information is greatly appreciated
