Does anyone have a picture or diagram of how the oil line that supplies the rocker arms is supposed to be. I am overhauling a 1955 Ford 660 with a 134 CID engine and this oil line looks like it has been engineered by a moron. It is no way Ford would have place 2 screw clamps around the line and sealed it to the rocker arm assembly with what looks like a piece of inner tube. I can't find anything online about this or anyone who has the proper parts.
Thanks alot in advance!

There should have been a small bracket that attaches the oil line to the rocker arm. Go to the link below and click on NewHolland Parts search, then type in your model number and select your tractor from the list, click on "engine" and the various views and it will show the oil lines and bracket. You probably won't find the parts needed unless someone is parting out an engine. You can make the needed bracket though. Hope this helps.

I am getting one of that same tractor back up running and I found the short tube at the engine front laying on the top of the head (left one in photo, back in place, I think) and I Think it goes there but not sure if a clamp is missing or did Ford use friction to hold it. The NH parts exploded diagrams are blurred to me so I can't tell. A Ford 134/172 engine man with experience should be able to say something about these tubes, thank you greatly, Paul

Both tubes should have a hold down clip and make sure you replace the seal on the bottom of the long pressure tube and get it fully seated when you reinstall the tube.

Long tube is clearly a supply line coming up from oil gallery, BUT, ...what is short tube function? Where does bottom end of short tube go/terminate/etc.?

The short tube just dumps the excess oil on top of the cylinder head.
