I HAVE A MILITARY GENERATOR THATS POWERED WITH A WISCONSIN Model MAENLD ENGINE . THE MAG WAS MISSING PARTS , SO ANOTHER MAG WAS FOUND AND INSTALLED . THE ENGINE STARTS AND ILDES PERFECT BUT WILL NOT REV UP . WILL A MAG CAUSE THIS TO HAPPEN . |

Your engine is a military version,(M) of an
AENL, with Hardened heavy duty valve seats and
"Stellite" valves, As indicated by the (D)suffex
on the model number. That said, it's a current
production model, still being made by Wisconsin Motors. Unless the timing is off, i'd venture
that you have a carb problem.
NAPA auto parts has carb. kits. It should have a
Zenith carb., If the number on the carb. tag is
0-12199,12234,12522,12235, 12236,12375,or 12522,
it takes kit # 2-1565.
That kit also fits 2 cylinder and lots of other
Wisconsin engines. |

Does it have a governor? If so the governor could be out of adjustment. |
