Howdy there:

I have a Fordson Super Major that was built in the month of January of 1961 so i'm guessing it is an early SM with the engine block # of 1587484...
It is a strong runner and i just recently repainted most of the ol'e rig, it doesn't have the fancy badge on the front or the slats in the grill, but it does have the Qualitrol options and the two stage clutch and most of the fancy improvements that the SM came with.

When i got the rig it was missing the engine block breather which at the time had a small Cambells soup can atop the breather pipe...i have since then improvised with a chrome breather from Autozone, but it will need an original breather one of these days, as with this auto breather it breathes to much oil out the top still, so anyone with a spare rolling around in their parts box that want's to get rid of one, please let me know as i am restoring this for myself and for the museum that so kindly gave this machine as a token for the work iv'e done for them...Also i am looking for a crank for the SM as well, need to be prepared for winter when it rears it's ugly head, also so that one can save the battery from cranking so long in the cold weather...

Two other things that i am looking for on my SM is...if anyone knows where i can find a new oil seal for the fuel lift pump as the oil seal thats a part of the power majors fuel lift pump is the same on my SM. i have looked for a replacements from Brim and a few other places, but i have been told that that part is no longer serviced...(Grrr! the only part that i need is no longer available)...

The other complication is that my 3 point arms don't go down or up and when you put an attachment on the arms and drop your float lever, the arms stay put...I have learned recently through some of the mechanics on this forum that the pto has to be engaged for the 3 point to work...I believe that my unloading valve might be stuck (the tractor sat for 3-5 years so that might explain it)...
Anyway, any ideas would be appreciated.
