I have an in-line six cylinder ford stationary power unit that needs a throttle cable. The kind that has a black knob that you screw out to increase throttle and push the button to push the throttle in. I was at the industrial Ford dealer a couple of years ago and I think they wanted like $70 bucks or so for the cable. Does anyone know where to buy them a little more reasonable? Thanks for any suggestions.

I know we would get yelled at for breaking them at work because they were pretty pricey. Maybe that is just the going rate???

NAPA has them in their "Accessories" catalog.

GOOGLE "vernier throttle cable".

For example, one ebay seller has them for $35.

I will check that out, $35 sounds more reasonable than $70. I will look at NAPA too as Greygoat suggested. Thanks

The Wisconsin throttles are similar to the one I want. I will stop at NAPA and see what they have. Maybe they have more than one kind.

Many years ago a surplus steel yard had a lot of the throttles used on Wisconsin's for about $5 each.

What part of Western Wisconsin do you live in?

Thanks for the tip on throttles they could have the one I need.

That would put you 100 miles +or- a few miles south east of me. I am just south of the Twin Cities. I have a few V4 Wisconsin's that I have not ran in several years and two 2 cylinders that I have not ran in many years. My Wisconsin's are all crank start and I am getting tired of the crank. I am looking for a VE size with an electric start if I can find one reasonable. have a great day.
