The front axle on the Dexta was modified by Selene in Italy who invented the 4wd system - Roadless were only the importers in Britain of the axle & transfer boxes fitted to Dexta, Super Dexta & 3000.
It was ex-WW2 Dodge Weapons Carrier WC-52 4x4 front axle, shortened on the lefthand side.
Selene bought up brand new in the box spares left in Europe by the US Army after WW2.
Roadless on the Majors used the front axle off GMC CCKW 6x6 trucks, bought them from Europe, modified them for the Fordson Majors & 5000"s and paid Selene a royalty fee |
