Actually $3,500 plus interest and court costs as the judgment reads against him. Interest is accruing for the Huber tractor he defrauded me out of in November of 2007. Beware. |

If he doesn't pay up, will the court seize his assets and auction them off to satisfy the debt? |

Sure Rusty. That is certainly and definitely on the table but I would just as soon he grow up, be an honest man, and do the mature thing. |

Sure, it would be nice if he would grow up and be honest, however, since he obviously is not paying what he owes he has shown himself to be a crook and must be handled like one. You will have to do whatever is necessary to get the Sheriff to start seizing and auctioning his assets to satisfy the judgment. When the Sheriff shows up to start seizing his stuff, then maybe he will realize that this is not a game and he will either pay up or his stuff will be sold and you will get the money that way.
Just my two cents worth. |

After 4 years, I really doubt that will happen. There could be a limitation on how long it goes on and/or the maximum interest(if any) you can collect. I'd do what ever I could to recover as much as could right now. |

the sheriff has no choice. ask the judge for a examination of debtor and or attachment of wages. you dont ask the sheriff. the judge orders the sheriff.go to the courthouse and file with the court clerk. |

No, the problem is, the sherrif is just TOOOOOOOOOOO busy to be bothered with trivial stuff like this. I lived in Indiana for 30 years, and have seen this done hundreds of times. Whitch, is kind of obvious, with Sloroll's post, they just do not do their job over there. |
