my oil pickup tube came out of the pump housing,looks like it was soldered.How can i reattach the tube. |

They are ALL silver soldered. Find someone who can re-solder it for you. |

i have soldered alot of copper,im a plumber but never steel,would i be able to do it myself |

Yes - it's nothing more than tubing in a heavy steel fitting - brazed or silver solder preferred for strength. Get it sqeeky clean and use your acetylene torch to get the heat required.

Originally they were lead soldered,,, I go back with silver,,, gotta B extra clean,,, it takes a ox/acetylene set up to get'er done....
Remove the front maine cap,,, clamp it to a level surface,,, use a square to square up the big end of the tube,,, Have at it... |

can i use a mapp gas tank,do i use flux just like with copper pipe,how much does magnaflux cost for a block do they clean everything also.There was wire twisted on the crank shaft bearings is this hard to do,is there an alternative.
