I saw a Millennium Steam Engine on ebay yesterday it has a red roof. He says that it is one of 60 some engines because this model was recalled by ertl and then released with green roofs. Is there any truth to this claim? and if its false does anyone know the whole true story behind the red roof millennium steam engine by ertl. |

If you don't already have one I would buy it you will be glad you did. I don't know anything about the canopies but the tractors are neat |

I have three green canopies and two red canopies. they are very neat, I have a problem with buying them when they go cheap at auctions, I'm just really curious about the canopy story since ive had ideas that they may be like a chase unit or the canopies where two different productions and one had a shorter run than the other. Never thought it could possibly be a mistake. |

the red canopies:
first one gave around 220 second one i just recently got for a 150 dollars.
the green canopies got the first one when they came out for a Christmas gift and that's when they were 60 dollars a piece. the other two green canopies i believe i got for 100 and 125. Ive seen them on Ebay go for upwards of 250 for a green canopy and i saw a red canopy two years ago sell for over 300 on Ebay. Seemed like this year though the market for them declined a little cause so many flooded Ebay. which is where three of these beautiful tractors came from. four of them are MIB and the other one i have is just NIB |

they are definitely cool I wish they would have made an engine plow to go with it. I thought they were going high at 150 I guess I haven't kept up on the market. |

I got one when they first came out and I am impressed with the quality and detail for the cost. I think that was one of the all time bargains. I've wished ever since they'd make a threshing machine of the same quality (also for a good price) and a plow would be neat too. |

Pictures are always fun. Here's some- I printed a picture of a threshing machine and fastened it to a thick piece of clear plastic. Also found a smaller than scale water wagon at an auction.

That is cool thanks for the pic I wish I had a nice case that I could put my nicer tractors on display in right now there just in the boxes to protect them from all the dust . I have to take the steam engine out one in a while and look at it then put it back |

Those are some nice pictures, I found a custom made water wagon for the case steam engine on ebay that is 1/16th scale. it looks really nice. It would be nice if they made a 8 to 10 bottom plow and a high detail Avery Steam Engine. |

the water wagon in the background looks one from Irvine's model shop in Burbank, Ohio.they are cast aluminum , part of a three piece set.there is a Case steam engine, the water wagon , and a Case threshing machine.the shop is no longer in business. |
