I have a 1962 Fordson Dexta Diesel. The hydraulics are a little sluggish and I think the fluid is low. On the front gear box I found a full level plug. Is there a plug or how can I tell how much to fill the rear transmission?
Thank you for any assistance. Frank |

Hi Frank,
There should be a square headed pipe-thread plug about 1/3 of the way up on the left hand side (clutch pedal side).
Not a bad idea to tap a bit off the bottom drain from time to time when it has been sitting awhile as there can be some condensation moisture build up.
Under the lift cover is a return filter and a suction screen if adding oil isn't a help.
