Forum members,
This past weekend was running an R2 Cat in northern Minnesota. Recently replaced a rocker arm bracket stud and also replaced the rocker arm cover gasket with new cork. The problem is when the Cat is on a flat the gasket works quite well, but when on a steep climb the gasket leaks to where I notice smoke coming from the exhaust manifold. I have been gradually tightening the cover fasteners but do not want to over tighten them. The cover when off seemed in good condition. Any advice or thoughts are welcome!

i've always used Kopper Koat on cork mainly to hold them in place but they dont leak with it on there either...spray can seems to apply better than the swab type. |
