Is there a way to tell the year from the serial number on the how? It is a model 33 hoe on a 580 ck : 5200515, I
I think it is in the sixties

The number you quoted refers to the backhoe as it begins with a 5,the machine number begins with an 8,the 580CK was built from 66 to 71.

I contacted CNH and found out that #33 Hoe #4142456 was made in 1967. Only tag I can find on my 580CK. The person to contact at CNH is Rich Tworek at "rich dot tworek @ cnh dot com" You need to remove extra blanks and etc. His ph # is twosixtwo 636 7274 or fax at twosixtwo 636 7530. HTH
