Has anyone had a problem with the Flint Gray--Dupont paint code. I used it on the last 40 I built and had no problem. Today I started painting the 40 I'm building now and the paint code is same as last (Dupont L7949), but the paint is color of the new MF Gray. Dark Gray, not even close to other 40. Even mixed more, same. Anyone have any codes other than Dupont? I can take the 40 that is finished and have paint scanned if I have to. Thanks Mickey

Mickey, I used PPG product code # 34690 (Flint Metallic Gray) Just did a search for a supplier and found NAPA carries it. Overnight shipping to the store. Max

Did your paint have a dark color? This is darker, kind a brown-gold color. I researched PPG and it came up 31644 for Flint Gray (Met). I have two other 40's that is original and the grays looks like the first 40 I rebuilt. There is always a lot of difference in paint. Just don't want two different colors. I will compare codes tomorrow and see if there is a difference in mix.
Thanks Mickey
