hauling a john deere 55

Trying to figure out best way to haul the combine about 100 miles. Have a 29 foot goose neck. Has cab and 13 foot head.

Removing the tires gets it down to 13'6. I've measured it haven't hauled it yet was going to use someone with a lowboy but they have sold it have to see if their step-deck is low enough but don't think it is. Without taking tires off. I'm well aware header needs to be removed and atleast set sideways on the trailer. Thanks for the reply

Another option and a tad easier than a low boy is if you know anybody with a swather/sprayer trailer, with that you can haul it without removing anything but the head. I use a demco combine trailer for combines and sprayers both. Harvest run rules are usually anything NOT marked is 16' at bridges etc, and normally utilities are a minimum of 16' as well. We haul everything from 95's with cabs to 9760's and patriot sprayers.

I may be wrong on this part, but on those 55's, didnt the feeder house have to come off with the head. on the 95's and 105's they made a later model retro feeder house that stayed on the combine and the cutting platform just came off, like the 6600's. Just mentioning that so plan accordingly in time it takes to load. I wont say its NOT possible, but if the platform is 13' you could just leave it on and run lights and wide load signs especially if your only going a 100 miles, where im from 13' isnt much of an issue when marked.

If you are looking for a 95 or 2 to match that 55 let me know, i have a couple i would be willing to part with, complete and run and have the fancy 3rd valve for reel height and one has the swamp cooler haha

Yeah this one is the old set up with the feeder house stays with the head. But have found a parts machine that has the new style feeder house think we are going to use two trailers to get it home. Don't know anyone with a fancy combine trailer wish I did
