I need to split a G1355 and replace the clutch and 3 speed. Any helpful suggestions before starting? Looks like the tractor consists of 3 major components, the rear end, the 3 speed tub and the engine. Do I split the tractor from the rear end first or do I remove the engine first. Any stands that might be helpful? Also obviously first time doing something so big.

Look that over real close, Oliver made that tractor. I haven't been around one for quite a while, but I'm pretty sure you pull the motor and Hydra Power unit, set it on the floor and then seperate the motor and Hydra Power to get to the clutch. If it has the heavy cast bath tub frame, that is how you do it. Motor and Hydra Power slide ahead a few inches to free itself from the rear end. chris
