Recently, I tried sending two people, two emails. Neither of them
got an email from me.

Tried it again this morning and got two error messages.

As much as I love this site, the email thing... Doesnt always work
for me.

Just thought Id let you know there might be something up with it :/

You'll have to email me the details of who you contacted and about what time.

The email is working, I just tested it. That doesn't mean the email to everywhere else is working. It just means that to the providers I can test with, it works. It's also dependent on the other side working.

Some email providers will reject messages out of hand if they come obviously from a server (which our emails do and we don't obfuscate them to make them look like they are from an individual). Others may treat such emails differently. With yahoo, for example, email from YT will go automatically into the users junk mail folder, they have to know to check junk mail occasionally for all such emails that come through forums or even shopping cart transactions (anything generated by a server). In another example, earthlink customers will never receive an email from a server if they have the option set on that requires verification. The server can't verify the transaction. There are so many different possibilities that I can't describe them all.

There is one new possible problem. Since Modern View now supports email too, it depends on the users email address being correct in the username database (the profile). Most unfortunately aren't. It will let you send, but the address will have long since become stale and it doesn't go anywhere.

I will research the specific ones you tried though if you like.

Thanks,
Chris
