Does anyone know the battery model number for a 2000 John Deere Model 345 lawn tractor? The JD number is TY21755, but I don't realyl want to pay their prices.
If you have another battery for a 345 what is the make and model?
Thanks. |

Lowes sells a Briggs brand tractor battery for $50. It is the largest cranking AMPs they have available at Lowes.
If it is a car size battery, then you might have to pay the piper. |

I would measure the battery area and see if a car battery will fit. I use a Walwart car battery in my Wards tractor that has the side terminals that most GM cars used. It's 10 years old. I also use their batteries in my cars and my standby generator. I also had to replace my battery cables. The battery posts were contacting the bottom of the hood and fried the paint. Hal |

Just take the battery to an auto parts store and they can match its dimension to a car battery. I believe the 345 used a battery bigger than the standard lawn tractor battery, but autozone, NAPA, even Walmart should have no trouble finding you a proper sized replacement. |
