Does anyone know why I can get one?
Thanks

Got a WalMart anywhere nearby? Or a Sam's Club? I've had good luck with WalMart batteries.
Just saying. |

The battery is a weird size. About 3.75” wide, 7” tall and 21.75
long. It fits in between the skid steer and the backhoe attachment.
I have found anything close to that size. Some one mounted a battery
else where but now you have to remove the battery to open the hood. |

Can you tell me the dealer you went through? I have called 2 local dealers and they asking me what size I need. And when I tell them what I think the size should be they say they don't believe I am right. If I can find the true size that would be helpful.
Thanks

Yes, it is the long skinny one.
Thanks for the info.

Try TSC or Orschelin's. They carry the 4020 type in 6 or 12 volt. |

When you do get one, write the battery type, near where the battery
mounts. I think interstate batteries has a chart, that might give you
the type, from the dimensions. I get most of the oddballs, from a
company named Pasco, but that's here, in the mid atlantic. You
might have a similar battery company, where you are located. |

I found out that the original battery was made by Prestolite and there
battery division was sold to exide. Exide no longer makes that particular
battery but the closet battery type is a 3EE, which everyone seems
to make. Now I just need to remove the backhoe and see if the 3ee battery
would fit after some modifications to the battery box. It seems like height will be my problem.
Thanks for the info |

If the 3EE is a little too tall, you could try the 2EE. The 06 and 56 IHC tractors ran the 2E(6V)/2EE(12V) size batteries, the 66 series ran the 3E/3EE size batteries. So it would make sense that the loader would also use on of those size battery. |
