I have a 530 diesel backhoe with spun rod bearings that hasn"t run in a few years, may have injection problems, was really carboned up when I disassembled. I also have a 311B with rear end problems but has a good running G148 gas engine. Will this engine fit the 530? What would I need to adapt? Thanks in advance for your answers

Its a 159 gas engine that the 530 used, if that's the same as the 148 I don't know,I think the best thing is to find a running 188 or repair the old one,lots of things to take into account when converting and all a PIA.
